I suppose every digital Leica M owner would know that its image sensor shows dusts very often. In the film era, “spotting” used to be a tedious job after printing photographs, and with digital Leica M, some subject matter also requires dust-spotting considerably with photo-editing software. The process has not been changed much from film to digital.
(I may know the legitimate reason why digital Leica Ms easily show dusts on image sensor, but I won’t write it here.)
Every technical support at Leica Camera AG worldwide provides image sensor cleaning, and one place or another has an excellent service upon removing dusts. My Leica M Monochrom visits the excellent one once a year. It is almost like a “yearly spa time” for my M Monochrom. In an hour, its image sensor becomes like a brand-new. I truly appreciate their service. My M Monochrom seems refreshed after the spa! KT
