Upon “discovery” in creative art

Although my initial motivation toward photography decades ago was about photojournalism, my career in photography turned out to be much more artistic and creative. I picked photography as a form of expression, and began exploring.

After all phases of knowing and exploring in creative art, some may fall into a thought: “What am I supposed to do next?” Then, some may regretfully break up with the expression, but others may keep going by “discovering something ‘new’” with the expression.

“Discovery” can be anything, person to person, I suppose, and it could be a very subtle enlightenment through “mumbling” or repetition of thoughts. For a person like myself, it is quite an important process, because you cannot even begin thinking about it unless you recognize it.

For long, we have encountered and ignored things because we didn’t even know there are. Only at the perfect time, we finally face and recognize them. Do I sound like a Zen priest? I will keep looking for such a discovery. In creative art, of course! KT

The most recent “discovery” of mine. Only by practicing monochrome digital photography for years, I could obtain an eye on such a subject. Just a cloud, as a matter of fact.
