After thought: New York, New York

I have been to New York City for three weeks. My first re-visit ever since I left there over a year ago. It was a precious visit, as well as I thought more about New York.

From no one, I heard, “Living for long, people of New York become like ‘villagers.’” They would all find their own “niche,” and live comfortably within. I went back to Upper Eastside, where I used to live. There I became like a villager instantly. I knew many things going on in other parts of the city, but I walked and breathed with my pace in my neighborhood, and I felt so good.

People in my neighborhood were so warm and nice, too. I was even greeted by dog walkers and homeless person whom I knew previously. Such a lovely human touch.

Also from no one, I heard, “New York will never say, ‘Good-bye.’ There is always, ‘See you around.’” Indeed. I really felt, “I am back.” See you around, New York! KT

For unknown reason, this is the view of my favorite New York. Park Avenue and East 57th Street.
