It may not be remembered by many, but prior to this website, I used to have my own website for Tamkey Photo, LLC, the company registered in the State of New York. The company was dissolved and the website was discontinued after I was notified to leave New York, early May last year.
The cause of leaving was not so serious as “new job placement,” “end of job term,” or “deportation.” My grown-up child moved into my small apartment, and there became nowhere else for me to live. It was that easy, simple and silly. Twenty-nine years in New York can end just like that.
However, even in the modest way, it was not easy getting used to new life after twenty-nine years in New York. First few months were just confusion. I needed, and still need to learn a lot of things.
After six months, I realized that I shall not erase my twenty-nine years in New York. It is actually where I was made up, and I shall be proud of it. I wanted to show my photographs as I used to in New York, which eventually led me build another website.
This past year was full of surprises, joys and reliefs. I think now I am all right. I would especially like to thank everyone whom I met and reunited during this past year. All the best wishes to you, and see you soon! KT
