A Rainy Day in… Kyoto, not New York

The film “A Rainy Day in New York” produced by Woody Allen was one of films I watched after I was destined to leave New York last year. Although you may say something about Allen, the film itself was pretty memorable to me. I knew every scene in the film, especially of Upper Eastside, my previous neighborhood.

As I remember, Allen says, “New York is the most romantic in the rain.” I kind of understand that. Sometimes things look better in the rain. Recently, I visited Kyoto… in the rain.

Technically, cloudy or rainy condition is preferable in photography. Lower contrast subject means “better control in tonality.” Although with boots and umbrella, I enjoyed walking Kyoto in the rain. Maybe… I became old enough to enjoy the rain like Allen. Ha-ha. KT
